need help with hydraulic

Hello every body
am located in the USA and am building my own water well drilling rig
i got just about everything figure out. but i got lots of question about the hydraulic system.Is there any member out there to help or should i post my questions here?. am newbie and happy to joint.Thanks.

Interesting.

How deep will you drill?

What sort of ground can you drill through?
(rock, stone, clay, soil,sand)
Will you use air & or water power as well?

We had a borehole drilled last year to 50m (first 9m was drilled inside a steel casing till it was 2m into the rock & the rest was drilled 167mm wide to take a 125mm outer dia pipe / screen to take a 100mm borehole pump) through all of the above.

They used a 6000kg drilling rig using hydraulic motors to lift, lower & rotate but used 3000psi air (from a 3000kg compressor) to activate the hammer head to get through the rock.

After turning the pump off overnight it started of like this the next day

The water level in the bore hole is at 15m which is about 6m in to the rock. Drilled depth is 50m. When the pump was first installed it was at 2m into the water & was pumping in excess of 1L per second (3600L per hour) & was left at that position for about 3 hours with no change in the level of the water. Pump was then dropped to 15m into the water (30m depth). Flow at that depth is 3/4L second (2700L /hour).



I did some rough calcs & to flush the borehole out I pumped out over 40 cubes over 3 sessions over the Fri afternoon Saturday & Sunday morning. I filled up our 1000L bowser in 27 mins from totally empty.
