Just wondered if anyone recognises one of these?Thought it may be ok for airbrush etc as its quiet.Its a Binks Bullows Type L from 1967.Tanks maybe 20 litres.2 1/3HP motors.It runs ok but isnt pumping a lot of air into the tank probably because both pumps have 2 inlets/outlets that havent got any fittings in?Pumps are linked.Left one goes into the tank and the right one has some sort of filter/blow off assembly?Sorry about the shaky picture I can do a better one if necessary.Can anyone suggest what goes on the 4 threaded ports?

does the big pot have an outlet
could be a pressurised paint pot, ie no air from the paint gun

The tank is a pressure pot ,for paint ,will have a regulator to control pressure,with a pressure release valve,reg controls the flow of paint to gun,relief valve to protect the tank.Used to feed paint direct to gun under pressure instead of gravity fed from a cup or suction fed...We used them years ago ours had a stirring paddle mounted centrally on the lid and was constantly stirred...I'm not sure those compressors were used to supply air to the spray gun,don't think they would produce the flow required ,but as you say they should be up to supplying air to an air brush,better pictures may help identify the ports on the compressors,the tank was never designed to hold a lot of pressure maybe 40psi?.
The pot has 2 outlets,pressure gauge and a blow off valve.Pressure pot is probably right.Label says 50psi max.There is a central stainless shaft that could have been a stirrer.Yes I can easily rig up an inlet filter but I wondered why there were 2 unused ports on each head?

ompressors look like Gast oilless ones similar to the twin cylinder ones we have on some of our kit. American I belive. If so then you can get ring kits, cylinders, conrods all separtate and quite easy to fit.

If the open ports are only sucking (inlet)they would probably benefit from filters being used,If the output is developing pressure then I would guess it would be ok for an airbrush......do you own a airbrush to try it? looking at machine mart their compressors output is only 1.58cfm so not very much...
