Needle/small files

I'm after a decent set of small/needle files for at home, at work I have a snap on set which I'm led to believe are nicholson. I would prefer a set with handles. What are a decent make? My budget is £50 ish.Makes I've seen are bahco, stahlwille and the usual cheap and nasty ones.

well last year I wanted some fine needle files (cut 4 instead of the normal cut 2) so I got some from Zoro, their minium order quantity was 5 of each size so I ended up getting a few for £50

I havn't used any yet but they seem ok and looks like you can buy individual files from them now

these are much cheaper than the branded ones, but you can buy several for the price of one branded one

I have a set of Vallorbe that I distinctly remember I got at a good price, but I cannot for the life of me remember where from :-(

Vellorbe are good, my old Bedford set is still going strong after 40 yrs of use. My Bacho 10" are nice although I haven't tried their needle files. Older Nicholson are good, Brazil production aren't bad, but Mexico produced ones are dubious.

I got some Vallorbe at work a while ago, a set of 12 was thrice your budget! I've got some of the Tome ones Northwest linked, I wouldn't be as bold as to say they're better than Vallorbe, but honestly I think I'd be hard pressed to pick them apart in a blind test. The Bacho ones are very nice too, but I can't say I'm a fan of the Kennedy ones with the moulded handles.

I bought a couple of sets of the diamond ones from Lidl & I've been very impressed. Been used regularly to sharpen carbide tooling & are still cutting.
