New compressor advice.

Just picked this up in good working order. And an sealey air receiver.

Any dos and don’ts? First hydrovane.

Need to get some sort of piping system from the compressor to the receiver but I want to I corporate an few filters to try and trap most of the water and oil before it gets to the receiver.

Then after the receiver at some point will invest in a desiccant or refrigeration dryer.

Brad, They are designed to be run without a receiver so be careful of running them into a receiver for short periods.
The condensation doesn't get a chance to get out of the compressor and can emulsify the oil.
It can be done, just make sure the receiver is the right size (big) and the cut in cut out pressures aren't set too close together so it runs a decent time between start ups.
Ideally you should leave it running and just let the internal unloader valve do the work but it's wasteful of electricity if it's on standby.

As pressbrake said Oil level at the very least I would even go as far as an oil change and check the filter eliments. Also get a big tank so it runs a while yours is similar to mine but smaller I run two tanks 2300 litre saves on electric unless I am blasting then I let mine run full on, good bits of kit though well done.
