New Compressor - test power/CFM?

DHL just dropped off my new compressor, a no-name two-piston thing that claims 4.1hp and 450l/min theoretical, with a 50L tank.

Since it's completely empty and never been set up, is there a way I can check its power based on, say, how long it takes to get up to a certain pressure? I know nothing of the physics required to calculate this, just wondering what the test would be.

Before you do any serious work run the compressor with the tank valve open for about 20 minutes. This will allow oil to get to everything and bed the rings in a little before it gets full load.
To check it's efficiency you would need to work out the volume of the tank against the claimed compressor FAD at the operating pressure, over time. My maths is rusty but I'm sure someone will advise the correct formula !

to fill 50l to 10 BAR would tale 500l of air at 1 bar. therefore time it to fill to that pressure. if you measure in seconds divide 500 by the time in seconds and multiply by 60 to give l/min.

do the same for emptying to give delivery rate. dont forget to turn it off first so it doesn't start filling

it should take about a minute to fill.

Manual states an operating pressure of 8 bar, so I presume the same applies if I fill to that pressure and then divide by 400 to get m/s fill rate?
