New compressor wiring nightmare

Hi guys

Just bought a new compressor motor for my restoration project compressor as the old one was completely knackered and half stripped when I got it.

So bought a new one with same specs as the old one just alot newer.

This is what I have got

3hp motor 220-240 single phase 50/60hz

But it would seem the wiring is completely above my head as I thought it would be a simple job as my pillar drill motor was easy as.

But upon opening the black plastic box on top I was faced with this.

And pictures of where the wires go underneath

Any ideas where I'm suppose to wire into on this

Is there a wiring diagram on the underside of the lid?

I would say live to the cut-out switch, neutral to the RH brass strip and earth to the case.

No wiring diagram included which is very frustrating

Hi guys yeah you're suggestions were right and tested I quickly today and span right up.

I also contacted the shop and they emailed me a wiring diagram which proves what you guys stated although the wiring diagram some wires are different colours. Also some wiring points are the wrong way round but I got the general gist of it.

Thanks for the help on the subject though.

Does anybody have a rough size of wire I should be using to run the motor on as a guy from work said you should always double the motors amp rating with the wire grading to stop it overheating and the motor is 14a so looking for maybe a 30a+ wire then possibly any ideas.

2,5mm 3 core flex will cover it no bother
