Thankfully not a project this time, should just plug in and run & yes they are very heavy!
The data plate on the motor says 12 Amps so do you think it will be okay on a 16 amp socket or will it need a 32 amp hookup to allow for the start up current?

30cfm on a single phase 3hp motor seems a lot ?

was gonna say no way would that run on single phase. 12 amp each phase is about rite a 16 amp 3 phase socket will be fine. what are u using motor rated hrc fuses or mcb ??

The data plate and the bs cup for scale!
I have 3 options to hook it up - the 16a ring main or a spare 20a mcb or a spare 32a mob that I plan to use as a welding socket. All the mcbs are type C. I think the 32a is going to be the best option as I am going to get the rig spark round to put the welding socket in & he could spur off that. What do you think?
