Hi,
Good to see a welding forum so thought I'd sign up.
I've owned my SIP Migmate 130 for about ten years now but have only really started to use it fully over the last few years. Great little machine that has got me out of trouble many times - the most recent welding a nut onto a cam belt tensioner on a 2.1 TD Citroen XM as the previous owner had rounded off the tensioner retractor. Now working on welding the front subframe of the Citroen.
I'm a videographer and trained mechanic but am regretting starting the welding marathon on the XM subframe. But that's a whole different story...

Just carried out the strap modification to keep the tensioner wheel vertical in relation to the wire feed wheel. Brilliant top tip. My old Migmate now feeds wire smoother than when it was new. Had I not joined this forum and searched for this SIP design flaw, I would have had to shell out on a new welder. Brilliant forum! I might even enjoy welding the XM's subframe in situ now...well almost.

Hi mate, welcome to the forum. Same welder as mine, have you replaced the liner with a net curtain wire yet? Did mine long time ago and still going strong, makes the wire feed so much smoother.
