new garden fire

So my stepson.... took a liking to my first firepit. The first one I made (MK I) leaves burn mark on the grass because its too low to the ground, so I am building an optimised one, now that i know more about what I want from a fire.

I think this is a good project heading into winter, it will be nice to have outside the shed.
Here is the beginnings, more to follow.

I did more work on the workbench I built last year

I made a pallet breaker so that my step-son can feed the fire with broken pallets, its all I can do to not start making weapons.

MK II started, but I might not bother.

Of course, yes ) its prettymuch going to be a feature. My landlord cuts the garden every week during the summer. To that end, I have to keep the garden clean and neat. Or face eviction! He told me at one stage he would 'shut the whole operation down'.

But at the same time, when I moved in, he said 'Do whatever you want' which i promptly did. So its an interesting balance I am trying to strike. Here 4 years now.

The top of the fire will look something like one of these paper flowers, I think.
