Hi, I'm OK on stick welding and gas (mainly silver soldering and brazing) but new to MIG. I did have a go many years ago, but I think someone turned up the wire feed (just for me!). So I decided at the time that MIG welding was impossible. But my Nissan 300ZX has sat in the garden for a few years and it's going to need help which stick welding can't do; so this has decided my need for a MIg welder (can't be that difficult ).
Fortunately I've just been given a Butters AMT1800 because someone tried to "repair" it. Some bits of wiring have been added and the circuit board had some burned tracks repaired incorrectly.
Repairing the board shouldn't be a problem, it's all simple discrete components. However, the board was disconnected, nothing to indicate what wires connected where!
Been all over web and can't find a wiring diagram or manual; not even sure of the controls, some of the printing has worn off.
So I shall be asking for some help as I believe at least a couple of members have one of these. I am also aware that what I will be asking for is not just a 5 minute job. So in return for help given, I will be promising to repair their board should they get a fault. Well that's it for the moment. Regards
