I have an Eland 160, its a nice set to use, pro quality machine with very smooth arc, and good duty cycle,
Yours looks a bit distressed externally, but inside they are pretty bombproof, if it works and you have the power to run it, you have a good machine.

The input power ( 25 Amps at 240V ) is 6KVA. I would guess that it is at least a 200Amp welder, maybe 220. It has 24 power settings ( 4 x 6 ), and timers for stitch welding. It is a very early Eland, possibly made in England; later ones were ( are ? ) made in Hungary. Due to the outer condition it looks a little rough, and you might only get 200 Pounds for it. But it is worth at least double that, and you will never buy anything comparable to it today for that money. So, don't sell it !!
but it trips my house out and is far to powerfull to be welding up cars so i need to sell it for something smaller so if any one wants it they can have it for 200
if its a good welder then it needs used to its full capasty..
It looks like a slightly earlier version of the Eland 200 I use at work, cracking machine that has stood the test of time. Over 20 years old & used daily.
Fine for car bodywork too, the 24 power settings make it easier than lesser machines to get set right for thin steel, set the wire feed up for 0.6 wire with a new liner in the torch it'll be a fine machine for bodywork. At low power levels that you'll use for such work it should'nt trouble your house electric supply.
I found when looking for my own machine using the Eland 200 had "spoiled" me & I found the likes of Clarke & SIP welders in the 180-200A range a bit tinny & crude, I ended up buying a Migatronic.
