Latest piece of work is behaving itself. A few weeks ago i started making a human figure in a new style. Today I was able to get back to him. Very pleased with the way all the components line up and he changes shape from different angles. I can see a whole new series of work coming from this. From the front and side very minimalist, then all sorts going from other angles. Better than I expected, but more of a fiddle.
I was asked about making a 5m tall human figure for a pub in London. Looking at how to make a simple and bold structure I came up with this, using flat strip. I liked the idea so much I decided to make a life sized figure to see how it looks. He is going to have his hands raised in some sort of cryptic rapturous pose. I figure that will help sell him once he is done.
This version is made of 20mm strip bent along it's edge.
I was hoping for some bold straight lines and interesting shapes as well. Both aims achieved. headnext then feet.

Profile, he does have a very fine bottom
