Used to work in motorsport (Pace Products Haverhill) as tig welder/fab. Mainly sheet and thin plate ali, and whatever else flew in the door. down a variety of stuff since including blacksmithing/forging etc...
used lincoln invertecs down there, and used to varieties of murex 3phases etc so used to the bigger expensive stuff really... but now looking for home kit mig and/or arc sets.
used to use a 240 tradesmig down there which was good enough to glue together 6mm angle etc and it ran all day with no nonsense, so will be on the look out for one of them, and looking for older an/or reliaalbe arc set that I could run at home possibly through a transformer if it can be done... like I said not really intune with the diy side... more the industrial... but wanting to glue thin plate, so we'll see what turns up...
