New lid BOC Switch

Nipped around BOC earlier and got a BOC Switch auto helmet. 113 quid.

It was the lowest spec one with a switch from 10-11 but its like chalk and cheese to the fixed shade i have been using forever.

I cant believe how clear the visor is under welding conditions. Real good and i love it. Used to have reservations about getting flashed and the autodarkening helmets not being any good but i can say i am converted now.

Had mine for a year, and gotta say I love it. Got mine off ebay from a guy who had just renovated a landy, good as new but half your price. Brilliant arnt they, but watch out for lights and sun, they can trick the sensor

It looks like another rebadged Optrel. I'll keep an eye out for them at my local agents, he sometimes offers their gear at reduced prices.

Yep they are like the Optrels, i assume the screens from the Optrels fit the BOC?

They are optrel's, just rebadged BOC. I think the one you have there is an optrel e640 or miraplus.

I would have liked the top jobbie but i dont think i could justify 150 on top to her indoors for it, what with you know what looming around the corner.

They were a bit cheaper when i got one. the same as an optrel satellite.
