Good Afternoon All,

I'm just announcing me, a new user and new welder.. Well thats not entirely true, I haven't actually welded anything yet or even own a welder.

That's why i'm here

So, I apologise in advance for any stupid questions I ask.

I'm mainly interested in welding so that I can perform my own repairs at my start-up microbrewery, and to fabricate parts for the brewery too.

Is anyone on the form that can help me a bit and share his own experience from very first steps in welding? I want to start my career as a welder and I am not too sure where to start.

You can start by learning how to use the forum properly!
I've never known so many duplicate posts from one member!

You ought to see the quality of my welding after I've been doing the tasting!

Though, truth be told, I dont really know where to start, we're an entirely stainless set up and need hygienic welds that I presume our ground flush. So not really sure of the pros/cons of TIG over MIG over ARC.

Some of the other things I want to fabricate are stainless frames and trolleys, some steps (2-3 levels up) and so forth.

You'll probably learn from my posts that I'm a bit addicted to mounting things on heavy duty castors (except the steps, conveniently).

I'd love at some point to fab my own fermenters with all the nice-to-haves the current ones do not. But that's a ways off in my welding adventure I think
