Hi, quick intro, my name is Nick and I have a Triumph Spitfire to weld up
Done a fair bit with a MIG previously, but always struggled for neatness - hoping to pick up a few tips on here!

Whereabouts in Herts are you Nick? If you narrow your scope down a bit someone more local may be able to help you in your struggle What needs tidying up, you are allowed to use a grinder for cosmetic purposes.

Hi, I am in Watford - seem to have trouble getting a flat neat weld, might try using CO2/Argon mix as I have been using CO2 up to now.

Hi, my curent machine is a SIP Migmate Turbo 150 and I use CO2 gas - not sure what the wire size is. I am an expert at creating splatter Very keen to get some decent welds going and am considering starting again with a new machine as I read that the wire feed is not so good on my model, which is exactly the problem I have. co2 splatters more than an argon mix, 0.6 wire I think is also a no no at low amps with co2. maybe your wire feed is a bit high?
