hi all just found this forum and thought it would be usefull
ive been welding as a hobby (mostly on cars) for getting on 20yrs with my trusty clark 100en turbo gasless welder (converted to use pub bottled co2) and had no problems and good service with it for all that time. but now i think its time for an upgrade!!
ive allways been abit disapointed with the welds on anything thicker than carbody panals and have never felt 100% safe when ive made trailers that the welds would hold.
so its time to upgrade to a bigger/better machine can anyone here help with suggestions!
idealy i want a machine that can still weld thin body panals etc but also give good/strong welds with the thicker stuff. as for a price range im looking to spend around the £450 mark
portamig seems popular on here? but i carnt find any prices, also can anyone recomend anyhing else
