Good evening all......This seems the right place to re learn a few welding skills.
Havent welded for about 20 years then only gas and arc and spot welders. Bought a 2nd hand mig of fleabay for 99p (But I gave the bloke a tenner) anyway had a play with it using a halfrauds Argon cannister. After playing with a bit I tried it some 18g sheet and the power control is either to high or too low.
So I presume a more adjustable machine or is a Tig a more viable option?
I'm looking to weld ali,stainless and mild steel......yes car body stuff. Have done plenty years ago now its just a resto for myself.
