Hi there, I want to start my career as a welder and I am not too sure where to start.
Is anyone on the form that can help me a bit and share his own experience from very first steps in welding?
Please, can you advice on how to get started?
Welcome to the forum, that's quite a massive question you have asked with a lot of variations to the answer depending what you hope to end up doing as a career.
For example: Do you want to make gates or be 10 metres down welding patches on oil rig platforms... which takes a tad more training that making a hanging basket bracket, not being funny but you see what I mean?
There is nothing wrong with wanting a career with welding no matter what skill level that career requires, we all start somewhere, the route to the skill level is very different though, as is the time period to competance.
Initially I would advise you to type careers in the search box on this forum and read some of the past threads on the subject, also Google welding careers etc.
Once you think you know which direction you would like to go in the world of welding and there are a lot, then any advice from members here will be a lot more accurate and helpful.
