Hi everyone, just joined up and looking forward to chatting and Comparing notes with you guys.
Impressed with the work on the photos, welds look smooth and full of penetration.
In August, I will become self employed after 20 years in the aircraft engineering industry, yes I done a bit of MIG welding in steel and aluminium, but nothing to write home about, I would like to find out more about thin sheet welding EG car body, would be fun to learn.
I quite fancy a SIP TOP MIG going down to 25 amps for thin sheet metal.
Anyway – that’s was a long “Hi”… would be nice to meet you all.

Hey Ray. Check out the threads on machines before you buy a SIP. They don't get a good press here!

Thanks for the welcome gentlemen, want to find out what welder is best for my needs, will have good look about, I’m interested in car body welding more that thick plating.
Just been reading a few featured articles on here and im certainly a little wiser!
May I say this is an excellent Site .
