New Micor stick

Just tested my new Micor out this afternoon
new stinger and return rigged up 16 amp plug rather than the silly European one
Just burned a few 4mm 6013 esab that have been languishing in a open box a few months so nothing special

. Very smooth yet powerful arc with plenty reserves of power in the std mma mode. Three modes exist mma. Cellulose and Tig
One setting amps just a basic carry around thing and under 5 kg in weight
Probably run a few low hy through then some cely and check out the tig function over next few weeks
Not been doing much stick of late it's all been shop work this winter

Do have any plans to run it off a Lorch battery for site work?

We run 4 sets with the battery packs at work, excellent bits of kit where we need a quick set up during a breakdown.

How do you think it compares against the fronius transpocket 1500 then?

Yes. Perhaps it could be very handy for estate rail fence and such but primarily I wanted a fully 4 mm capable portable that was good on long leads
