Hi people!! i'm new 2 the welding world!! i just started a mig welding course last month, and i think it's fantastic, i'm loving it. I luv the sparks, the helmet, gloves, overalls and most of all putting the wire 2 the metal!! It's the best thing i'v ever done educational wise, it's fab and carn't wait for my next lesson!!

How long does it take 2 become a good welder?? r is it down 2 experience??

Uhm...now that isn't easy to answer wedgie....it depends on the person i guess... A crappy welder never becomes a good welder even if he/she has a lot of experience!

But ofcourse that's my opinion...

I would guess anybody who describes them selves as a 'good' welder probably isn't.

If you have been doing it long enough to feel comfortable doing it and stretching your limits and know that; then you are probably fairly good at it.
