I am having my back yard levelled by builders, so a nice shiny new concrete base.
I had planned a block shed but I want to get my bikes inside asap so lets forget asking them to do that, and I'm not building one myself
I'm looking at various sized wooden sheds. Hopefully 12x8ft. Once the yard is levelled and the gate opened up I'll bring the bike home and play about with layouts for doors etc.~
I've seen and helped assemble metal sheds that are bloody awful structures. er there any decent options for them?
Im going to buy a modular shed so a bit of flexibility re layout and can add an extra door myself if needed.
Budget? seems up to around £1.5k maybe a bit less, That should buy a 12mm + thick tongue and groove thing
Access will be through an 8ft wall. into the yard I'll be building a gate that will keep ne'er do wells out; well up to a point.
So how to prepare the base? I'll be keeping a motorbike in there.
Can I just build it on the existing concrete? bolt it down? I have no idea.
there is loads of conflicting advice online.
Builders look like something out of Twintown, but have done a good job on the retaining wall. A mate who is a civil engineer has give that the thumbs up.
here they are on the remains of the old 'shed' you could not call it a structure
