New side table for living room

Bought this timber months ago and finally got round to oiling it and making a base for it using 10mm bar and shoes from her horse..mrs seems happy with it which is a good thing..just need to clean base up properly now and get it pain ted/chromed

Thats a very nice piece of wood proper chunky! I like the horseshoe feet too very nice will look cool chromed.

It looks top heavy, short on leg. I'd put a couple of braces in from the leg to the shoe feet to help the bottom weld for when somebody sits on it I do tend to go for belt and braces though.

I had thought about that and nobody will sit on it...famous last words haha.
