Hi everyone.
I've recently bought an old citroen 2cv van as a restoration project. I've been monitoring this forum for a while but only now registered so here goes.
I've acquired a Schneider shot blasting pot from a friend which I want to use on this project. I have a Clarke SE16C150 compressor. I am using a blast media supplied by my local paint factor which I think is fine glass. Problem is that I cannot get the blaster to put out sand other than in short spurts, after which it just blows air.
It may be that the blast media is a bit damp because it does not seem to run through the hands properly.
Also, How can I tell if the existing ceramic nozzle is worn? I presume that a worn nozzle will reduce the pick up rate of grit?
any general advice would be welcome. I am starting off with blasting the suspension arms and other big thick rusty items before moving on to bodywork. Any thoughts on suitable media for these two categories?
