Hi All..Have been enjoying the reading too much and forgot to introduce myself.

Steve from Cumbria as the name suggests, took early retirement and now spending half my life in my new double garage I built.

Trained many years ago as a sheet metal worker, picked up welding skills, arc and some mig and now doing ornamental steelwork as a paying hobby.

Used to have a car business in the family so done a bit of bodywork, spraying etc, also a keen brit bike fan but don't have one at moment.

So..anyone in the area ever needs any help or just fancies a coffee and natter you are more than welcome.

Yes I found the forum when Googling for a MIG and what a wealth of information it has been, hence the late introduction.

I have spent the best part of a weeks evenings reading all I can and the outcome is when I am ready then a Portamig is my next purchase, had never heard of them before I was here.
