New to this need advice

hi i'm looking to take up spraying and body repair in my spare time as a hobbie for various projects such as tractors and car plus i have a kit for the car which i would rather spray myself if i can!
i need help on compressors, spray guns, which paint i'll use and in what steps and i i should buy to suit the new water based system

For the compressor the mistake everyone makes is not buying a big enough one to start with. For paint you only need about 8-10cfm with a 25L tank for a small spray gun but you'll have to wait for it to recharge between panels. But they come in useful, and you'll end up thinking it would be nice to have at least a 13cfm 3hp with a 50L tank.

I avoid waterbased paint. Cellulose is still widely available and is safe to use. 2 Pack is available too but requires an air fed mask (a second compressor for that and a fortune in filters). I think you need that for the lacquer coat on waterbased too. I've taken to doing the prep myself but subbing out the paint job when I want 2K.
