Are the handle supports plastic made?

Yes they are but they are very strong. Plus if you bent the old handles you struggled to replace them as it bent the casing, these new designs don't suffer from the same problem.

How do these compare to the mosa magic welders?

I'm sure Jim can fill in most of the details, but as a rough guess, these will be heavier, quieter and longer lasting.

Off the cuff I'd say better in every conceivable way.

EDIT: With the possible exception of weight, the ArcGen is heavier, and more expensive. Better AC 110 output, smoother welding, quieter and lower average fuel consumption.

I had its bigger brother the 330sd and it was lovely to weld with.
Closer to the 165 size I ran a shindaiwa (?)200 For a month or so and didn't really like it.ill have to try the arcgen above

Try Morris Site Machinery, they are the official UK importer for Arc-Gen. They should be able to put you in touch with a local dealer, Cork is a bit out of my area.

If you want to run an engine driven welder in Ireland you'll need to specify the red diesel/used chip fat fuel option

I'm not sure which countries other than the UK and Japan get Arc-Gens (they are made in Japan by Denyo, very nice stuff) bound to be a European outlet, however they may well be marketed under another name. Sarto may well have to do a bit of digging, or come to England for a bit of Christmas shopping? My shop is five minutes drive from Southampton International Airport?
