Newbie from Edinburgh

Hey, been looking at this forum quite a lot the past few days so thought i'd join up

I'm John, from Edinburgh and i'm just getting into welding, got a clarke 135TE on order just now after hearing a lot of good things about them

Mainly want to learn to weld as i do a lot of car modification and making stuff would save me quite a bit of money

So any advice and tips for a beginner would be great

Cheers for the welcome folks

Will get pics up, planning on making a rear strut brace for the car so ill have a bash at that

Got myself some gloves and mig pliers ordered and got a wee idea to modify my building helmet inner to make it fit the hand held mask that comes with the welder to make a custom flip down one for the time being, saves 2 hands to hold the torch then
