Hello everyone. I enjoy woodworking, but my son and I have always wanted to learn welding. So together, with absolutely no knowledge about it or what to buy, we dove in and split the cost of a Hobart 140 MIG welder and helmet, got on the internet and found this welding forum. After studying the tutorials and experimenting welding on an old trailer needing repair, we were amazed how much fun, but not easy, it is to MIG weld. Our welds are not pretty, but we feel with a lot of practice and advice from this forum, we will quickly get the hang of it. In fact, we figured out that we should have gotten an auto darkening helmet from the gitgo. So, broke down and coughed up more money for one...what a difference it has made!
