Hi all,
Found you guys when searching for advice on my welder - lots of links point here so it seems this is the place to be!
I can TIG a little and MIG pretty well (for an amateur), main problem for me is the cost of kit... I've used some lovely pro kit before, a great HF start TIG when I was being taught by a pro mate and a 200+ amp MIG at a friends dad's house who ran a small garage, that thing would weld all day.
My SIP is 10+ years old now and the torch was worn out probably 4 years ago It's been in storage for over a year and although it still "works", welds with it look like pigeon poo - it needs serious repair...
Also I got fed up with BOC years ago (and then living in Kent went over to Adamsgas - very impressed and highly recommended) but now away from Kent I need to find another gas supplier, hobbyweld seems the best for me so far.
Anyway, looking forward to saying hi to you all and asking some dumb questions!
