Hello just thought I’d introduce myself before I start trying to pick your brains,,,I’ve been building commercial bodies for a company for 2 years mainly mig work, any aluminium work is done using rivets/monobolts. I’ve been doing a fair few small “foreigners” at home and thought it’s about time I started to upgrade my tools as currently have an old sip160 mig and I think rivets are a bit of a bodge on certain jobs so I’ve Bought a r-tech210 AC/DC yesterday and although I haven’t got a clue how to use it I’m sure I’ll get the knack of it eventually, I’ll mainly be using it for 2mm Ali chequer plate for truck beds/tops/toolbox’s, next on my list is a new mig around 200 amps, anyways hello to everyone and I’m gonna carry on browsing the forum to get my head around my new toy (r-tech 210 tig) I was told at work tig welding is too hard and not to even bother which has made me want to do it even more!!
