I thought to say hi.
I am in the forum for some time now and I found it to be a great source of knowledge and experience.
I also did my first welding for an exhaust adaptor using gasless wire on mild steel.
Not the best weld but I have to improve very soon as I am building a stainless exhaust system for my car

Hi and welcome to the site, the weld looks strong even though it won't win any beauty contests, converting to gas would help you a lot, learning is hard enough and using gasless makes it all the harder....keep sparking, we all started the same and only got better with practice.

I don't worry that much about the looks of it as it's always under the car . I just want to build a system that will not break or leak.
For the rest of the system I am going to use Argon/CO2 mix as it is 304 stainless.
I will keep welding with both hands as I noticed that when single handed, I don't have good control of the torch. When I finish that I think I will be experienced enough to weld my custom exhaust manifold, and then a custom aluminium manifold for my throttle bodies setup.
