Newbie in N Yorks

Hello one and all,

I have been watching this forum with interest and decided that the time has now come to join, say hello and start asking loads of questions.

The main reason for me starting to weld, (not done it yet, however have got the welder sitting in my garage) is that I have a 1964 MK1 Austin Mini that requires a lot of welding and instead of giving away my hard earned pennies to someone else I may as well give it a go myself.

As it's a '64 I'm assuming you're keeping it original?

What happened to the tax exempt resto then?

It's still cheap tax though, only £120 for the year.
