Hi all,
Just thought that I would introduce myself as I've been visiting the forum for a couple of weeks now and decided to join in the fun. I have a gas-less MIG welder (budget wouldn't allow anything else) it's a "no gas-turbo fanned MIG welder 25 -135amps" seems to work ok but does spatter a bit (well a lot actually), I've been in the motor trade for many years so I have a little knowledge but I really need a better understanding of starting and welding correctly , I thought here might be a good place to start to obtain good advice and source information.
I own a LandRover Discovery and it's a renovation project so needs both front inner wings, boot floor and various other repairs but really just panel work not much in the way of chassie work, and thought that gas-less might be best to start with as it will be repaired outside (to big for the garage).
Whats your thinking guys, ampage rating, will it do the job ok or have I bought myself a bit of a dumpling!!.
Great forum guys well set out and easy to use, and the advice given to others is superb, thanks for taking the time to look, any opinions and advice most gratefully received.
Goz
