newbie its hot in the sun

Hi another newbie
here in sunny Spain - a bit blo**dy hot welding here though
New to stick welding having extra difficulties because of fluctuating power currents 170 -220 volts no fun with a transformer 160amp welder
lots of chicken poo welding and more like a fireworks show that welding
Any advise other than stick with it

Can you not get hold of a voltage stabilizer ?
