I'm Matt and being a bit skint is putting the paid to plans I have for a few projects, mainly building a go kart but a gravity racer type one rather than pram wheels, planks and rope (check out the UKGSA website for some of the crazy contraptions other people have built) and possibly making my own bike frames too.
What I'm looking for is someone in the Leicester area who has either a welder (preferably a TIG) or a lathe or better yet both that can show me the ropes. I'm generally pretty good with my hands and more than willing to help out in anyway to gain experience. In return, as I work for a paint company, I can offer to give some tips on spraying, give you access to our pro spraying facilities or spray parts for you. Depending on the application I can offer colour matching too and all the paint would be free.
