good evening folks,

i thought it may be a little rude to join a forum without saying hi, so here goes! My name's Will and i've joined up for a bit of mig welding advice, i'm looking at buying a welder around christmas time to sort out my old french, tin worm ridden car! A nice project to teach me how to weld and hopefully use for other projects, think that's about it for now.

Hi Will, welcome to the forum.
Have a good look through the 'welders and welding machines' section for a pretty good idea of what's hot and what's not and you'll also find lots of good info in 'buying a welder'.

been having a good look around, reading some good reviews of the portamig, would be handy for the thin french tin!

They are very good machines but then I'm slightly biased as I have one.
The only drawback is having to wait a couple of weeks for them to be built as they're built to order.
