I have just followed a link from a engineers forum to your tutorial its Brilliant !
I have been doing a bit if diy welding (with various results ) for years starting with a diy stick welder in 1978 mainly using a brazing attachment on car body jobs (mine) .
I got a Clarke 120 diy mig then a Taskmaster (Cebora 170), I have recently been given a gas plant but as I don`t do enough welding and have never been shown properly I am glad to be able to pick up tips on here.

Ps I never sell anything and have still got them all and have just built a second garage to house everything.

Welcome to the Forum!
And, fear not - that's not a long post - there are some real epics hidden away here!
Loads of folk to learn from - (or even help them out) and quite a lot of off topic stuff too. Sometimes so much to read, you don't get time to log on & get a post of your own in! I dunno, maybe that's just me!
Anyway, I'm in danger of doing a long post myself - so I'm off!

If I understand you correctly you had a bracing attachment for a ark welder
I never knew there was such a thing please tell me more

Yes I have had a couple over the years they are like a pair of tongue`s that take two carbon rods at an angle, each rod is connected via the tongue`s to a wire to the arc welder, the tongue`s have a spring built in and as you squeeze them the rods come together and strike an arc which creates a flame as the rods are just slightly apart. I like brazing as I find it a slower process to welding and more manageable on thin metal.
I used brass rod and just dipped it in to the flux powder.

Interesting I must get one of them I don't do much light welding and if I need to get something braze I have to take it to a garage or workshop some where
doesn't happen very often but a nuisance when you can do it yourself
