Hi all,
I left school half way through my first year of AS-Levels on a wim, to get into metalwork.
Came across a welding apprenticeship a few months ago and have been there ever since.
Have over 6 months experience of MIG welding steels, and a little less on TIG for steels and just getting hang of ally - did 1st 3 joints without blowing hole in them this week!
Not very good at MMA atm or gas, but haven't actually had a go lately, and have gained a lot more experience since - learning a lot everyday.
The place where I am doing my apprenticeship specialise in control panels - in the past we have made control panels for the navy battleships, and will be doing some work for the two new super aircraft carriers - how cool is that!?
Anyways, see you on the forums, hopefully be able to offer advice as well as learning a bit more.
Greg
