Nice little motor

A friend rolled up at our local bike meet cafe today with this amazing little thing. Totally home made, and it runs as well. It's 1" bore x 1 1/2" stroke, and I wish I'd taken more pics. I have a video of it running but can't seem to load it here.

It's not actually as big as it looks in the pics.

The original drawings are apparently based on what the designer thought an early Harley motor would have been like. The guy who built it took his own liberties with much of the construction, even made the valves, piston rings, valve springs, rockers etc. Cylinders are machined from cast iron. Bottom end runs in PTFE bearings, so no crankcase required.
