No filler rod

I plan to make a turbo manifold some time soon I've got some little bents just to practice on I getting a nice weld and it seam to of penetrated ok just needs to be purged would it be OK or do I need to be a v in the end and filled

Any idea how and what I should be doing would be great

It should be slightly chamfered, and yes you be using filler rod with an inside purge.
Your welds are sunk and probably under cut. It's not a strong joint lacking reinforcement.

Cheers what's going to be the best way to get a nice even chamfer on the end

Belt sander is good if your able to turn them.
