No Spark

I've just tried using an old Cebora 130 for the first time, everything seems to be working as it should but when I come to start to weld nothing happens..no spark no nothing. The wires rolling and the gas is coming through...am I missing something really simple? If it's faulty where should I start looking?

Yep..just put a new better quality clamp on.

Have you got a power selector switch stuck between two positions? Have you tried all power settings? Is there a big "clunk" when you pull the trigger? Did it work before you changed the earth clamp?

Thanks for the replies...it has suddenly started working! No idea what was wrong with it but it's going like a good 'un now

loose connection in the earth lead i would say then

Aye I'll give it a good going over at the weekend and make sure its ok.

Could be that it has a thermal cut-out and the contacts were dirty.
