Non welding

Well this is just a shed im going to be building but its onto my existing shed and will be home to hopefully a nice size steel bench.

I'm undecided on the size of the new bit but have just bought some 2.4 metre lengths of wood. I'm looking to build on to the right side of the shed but due to size difference going to be a wee bit different. Not sure wether to go from the point of the existing shed or to just build extra bit to the side and keep a foot gap between them.

anyone got any ideas or done something ike this before?

Hi Kenny,
If you build too close treating the wood could be a bit difficult in the future. If you are uncertain of the design, clamp pieces in place temporary. Then while you have a cup of tea someone comes along and says. " I would have done it this way myself". Never fails in my experience

Ain't that the truth! Usually after it's welded and painted IME

I extened my 16x8 shed over the winter by adding another 8x8 on the end, so only 3 new walls which meant I didn't need as much cladding

Roof problems

You can build off the side with some easy but the thing to think about is the roof; you don't want to put a new roof on as this will add to the cost. So it may be best to leave a small gap you only need a foot or two, put gutters on each shed to keep the water off and that should fine.

Skillion. starting from just under the gutter go out from the side 7- 10 degrees as far as you want/ can.
