Hi guys,
I'm josh from the south coast. I'm forever looking for tips for fabrication and welding etc and always seem to eng up on a thread started here so I thought I'd join. I don't have a lot of experience but would say I can successfully mig and arc weld to an average standard. I've not tried tig welding but it's something I would like to learn. I'm currently building a shed which will act as a fab shop for me seeing as I don't have a garage. Hoping to get a good bench in there with a lathe, pillar drill, vice etc.
I'm currently doing a degree in motorsport engineering, so any hands on experience is paramount in order to get a career and stand apart from other students.
In my spare time I take my car to track days. I have a rusty old nissan 200sx which I'm currently welding up.
Hopefully this will be an informative, friendly place to exchange ideas and obtain valuable information which can only be gained through experience.
