After several years of visiting, have decided to join this friendliest of forums. I like because it's got no bull...., friendly banter and solid advice for us less experienced welders.
At the moment I'm a marine engineer, where I do all fabrications and repairs, make trailers for boats up to 6 tons and support cradles. Am also a MSA scrutineer since 1978 and maybe of help to those preparing race and rally cars: so ask away!
Just got a Portamig 285 from Steve @ Weldequip, a serious piece of kit from a truly friendly and helpful bloke and will deffo use again.
I'm not a professional welder but have been welding for years and really want to improve, so I'll be asking a few questions!
