The boss at work asked if we could lower one of the machines as the old guy who uses it was struggling.
This is the machine with a 6'2" bloke by it..
There was a fixed point on the main legs where he asked us to get it down to...
After a false start on Friday we hit it on Saturday morning. Kicked in around 7am and left at 3 with just another coat of paint needed.
Some of the welding isn't very neat but the boss wants the other bloke to learn more welding and this wasn't really important welding. The plate is only really there to stop the "I" beam damaging the floor.
The machine is a high pressure puller that puts controlled pulling force onto pylon insulators to test their breaking point.
I just thought I'd share my 8 hours work.
