What manufacturer is the engine?I am sure we have all been here before, I could get, but it has a hole in it. How fixable is this, caused by a conrod!
Well it's mine for the cost of going and getting it, Is it worth it. Or is it a project too far? Can one of these ChiHonda engines be fitted? I don't even know what model it is.
Apparently it has this engine: a 432cc OHV engine
@Ton-up I have discovered that they are about £2k new.
Think those Mountfields weren't a lot different to the older Wheel Horse things?Well it's mine for the cost of going and getting it, Is it worth it. Or is it a project too far? Can one of these ChiHonda engines be fitted? I don't even know what model it is.

Only 166cc - the lawn tractor one is I think 432cc. That ebay one might be OK for a small push Mower, but not for a ride-on.looks like a china copy engine ?

worth getting, work out what to do with it after.
That would be my typical response (if I had the transport) but the question does hint at the hidden "costs" of having yet-another-project sitting there glaring at you. Daring you to actually get around to doing something about it.
Is it a project too far? No one else can really answer that other than to suggest if you've got to ask, you probably already know.
Definitely makes a difference. I would skip that engine and put a decent second hand engine on it.I have absolutely no idea!
Does it really make that much difference?
Its a new engine no matter what
