Hooked up my SIP compressor for the first time in approx 2 years today and the lack of use has obviously done it no favours. The motor spins up fine and the pistons do their thing but the receiver won't build up any pressure.
Diagnosis is pretty easy as you can feel and hear air escaping through the 'valve' on the drain plug - so assuming it's not getting the 20 or so PSI need for the pressure switch to kick in. Tried the spare drain plug with same result. I'd assumed the drain plug just screwed into a hole in the receiver but guessing it's a bit more complex than this.
I'll pull the compressor out and have a good look underneath tomorrow but any suggestions on what might be the problem ?
Cheers
