novice to welding

hi guys and hello

,came across the site just the other day,had a quick look and here i am,quick intro my name is jay and live in lancashire i'm 36 and have no welding know how,i'm going to my local college in september as they have a 12 week course.the reason for learning to weld is that i have a porsche 924 with rust in the inner sills.it would be cheaper to pay someone else to do it but i want to do it . will post some pics soon,,,jay

Welcome on board, pull up a packing case and grab yourself a cup of tea. Glad you found us, there's a very wide knowledge base here, from the thin stuff to the heavy, so don't hesitate to ask. We all had to start somewhere

Good luck with the welding course, let us know how you are getting along and, of course pics, of the project are always interesting
